When you drive - 2hrs to Atlanta - $20-40 in Gas - PAID parking $10. - When you have state health insurance the best that's offered from the state but they don't take state health, Because Ga State Blue Cross blue shield prem. Doesn't cover Fertility Visits, and they charge $200+ per visit out of pocket every visit you need for your cycle, which keep in mind can be idk 2-5 times a month.. so now we're are $1000 a month in UP FRONT BILLS paid before you can be seen.., And you get back there to the back room and find out YOU STILL DON'T SEE your DR.... it's always the PA, and she's always like well, i'll relay everything to Dr Kaitlin Mcgrail... when you spend $1000 a month to see a specialist, you are suppose to See a Specialist. Not a PA that's judgy and rough with the probe. Also, make sure everyone include before they are seen are on the same page... Not when the PA gets to you, after the nurse sends you back. You would think everyone would be on the same Page with your file memorized before they see you, 10-15 mins wait before you are seen by the "PA" and not your actual Dr... Keep in mind.. you see your Dr the first 3-5 visits.. after that it's always a PA afterwards and rarely see the Dr again. She's always "In a Meeting or Surgery" is what we're told. I'd advise anyone to read the reviews first! and get referred to Emory or to Macon..S

Where do I start? I’m forever grateful for every single person affiliated with this facility, from the receptionist, to the nurses— especially Alexis, to the doctors! After experiencing two recurring miscarriages that doctors wrote off as “something that just happens” I decided to take a chance on REIG and boy, am I glad I did! From my very first appointment I felt seen, validated and important by everyone in the office. As a black woman this was very important to me because often times our concerns are taken with a grain of salt, but not here. At each appointment, I was given my options and every single procedure was thoroughly explained— not only in medical terms, but in ways that ordinary patients, like myself, could understand. The staff always made sure I was comfortable and any concerns I had were addressed with urgency. I am now expecting my first bundle of joy to arrive in a couple of months and I can’t help but to give credit where credit is due. I even give them a call when my OBGYN is unavailable and Alexis always addresses them with laughter lol but always with patience and care. Thank you to everyone at REI Group for all that you do!K

Tara, the in-office LabCorp phlebotomist is incredible, she has been the only one to get my blood first try without multiple pokes or digging around to find a vein, and was so patient with my needle anxieties. Everyone at the office is so kind and welcoming, with excellent bedside manner. They take the time to ask the right questions and provide clear answers in easy-to-understand terms.M

As I was seeking support with fertility and…I am amazed at the wonderful reviews this practice has received. Unfortunately, my experience with them has been the polar opposite. As I was seeking support with fertility and declinging pharmaceutical intervention, Dr. Kaplan has been very little help aside from submitting bloodwork orders(upon my request to understand my hormonal levels each cycle). Friendly yet often disheveled, I always left interactions with her feeling like there was no plan to help me since I did not want to take medication. That aside, what concerns me most are the UNETHICAL practices of the staff responsible for coding and billing, along with extremely poor communication despite multiple attempts on my end. Dr. Kaplan miscoded 2 of my claims resulting in insurance denial and the office has done nothing to alleviate the issue. I've submitted a HIPAA Request for Amendment of Medical Record per my patient rights so I'm hoping they act professionally and respond accordingly.A

She took the time to review some imaging I did and I have another follow up visit just to review the results of my blood work which is so appreciated. I especially appreciate the transparency regarding how long I could anticipate being in the office and regarding the billing. I went for glucose testing and gyno check up. Usually someone comes to get you and take you were you need to go. Nope. I was told, "you can head back". I didn't kniw where i was going and when I did find the area the lady who wasngoing to do my blood test knew I was behind her and she kind of ignored me. I stood there for a minute until she acknowledged me and told me to come back in 2 hours. Right after the blood work I didn't kniw where to go. I saw someone and told them I had a gyno qppt and she took me in a room, did the vaginal check up and I waited in the room. But staff would walk by confused why I was still in the room. I was told to go back to the lobby and I waited. After theb2 hours I waited about 5 minutes, no one came to get me. I asked the receptionist, "is someone going to get me after the 2 hours or do I go back". The receptionist told me to go on back. This facility is pretty much self guided. Not what im used to. I dont like walking around aimlessly. Also, PARKING IS NOT FREE.C

While I had an initially positive experience with Courtney Blue (the nurse practitioner), I was underwhelmed and unimpressed by Dr. Kaplan's bedside manner. She insisted on upping…While I had an initially positive experience with Courtney Blue (the nurse practitioner), I was underwhelmed and unimpressed by Dr. Kaplan's bedside manner. She insisted on upping my metformin and putting me on birth control (when I said multiple times I didn't feel comfortable increasing my dosage or being on birth control, and generally being on meds), but I understand she tried to do this to tackle some of the PCOS related issues. Overall, I felt judged and uncomfortable with her presence. There were times during the ultrasound when she would make comments loudly like "what is that!" which was disconcerting to say the least. I navigate PCOS, adenomyosis, and endometriosis and I felt like my needs were being dismissed via medication (which when refused, was met with a combative attitude). Overall, I found her difficult to talk to, and connect with - everything felt like a very negative spin on results/next steps. Still, every doctor has their personality and I put up with it for the sake of supposed good care. Finally, the real reason I left was that scheduling with her is a nightmare. There were multiple times where appointments were randomly cancelled because "Dr. Kaplan is not currently in". This was well after checking in and confirming the appointment. The office staff seemed to have an attitude as well when asked about this supposed policy. I switched to Emory, as my care is more triaged and supported there. Hopefully others can have a better experience than me, though.S

Dr Kaplan was very informative about everything she was doing all the way down to every image of the ultrasound she performed. I have attempted this process in the past and did not feel as comfortable as I did with her. Additionally, I did not feel judged or ridiculed because of my size which is a major plus. Even though I had to travel 2.5hrs away from home for this visit, it was worth every mile. I was already won over when I called to make my appt by the enthusiasm about me becoming a pt and embarking upon this journey with them and you are met with that same energy when you walk in the door. I would highly recommend anyone to give them a try. The staff is amazing from front to back which is another HUGE plus. Dr. Kaplan has treated me for years on and off at this point, and every time I leave her office, I am beyond grateful for her expertise. She clearly recalls details about my health history and previous treatments each visit. She excels at clear and compassionate communication and takes as much time as needed to answer my questions. She is extremely thorough, specifically regarding ultrasound imaging - I’ve had plenty of appointments with other doctors for various reasons who miss things that Dr. Kaplan notes immediately. And this is critical for effective treatment. She is a truly caring doctor and shows a lot of empathy for her patients. Her knowledge and guidance consistently make me feel like I’m in the best hands possible. Without her expertise, navigating my health issues would feel far more stressful and daunting. On another note, the other staff in the office are also amazing. The receptionist, phlebotomist, and nurses (thank you, Marie!) are all so personable and helpful. I was super excited based off the reviews. She kept asking me questions of things I had already told her so it felt like she wasn’t really listening to me. I also got follow up labs which I received a message about but no phone call even though I requested one. Still waiting a week later to hear back about labs and other stuff that I was told I would receive a follow up call for. It’s very disappointing during an already stressful situation. I will now be looking for a new clinic.A
