Struggling to get pregnant is a hard path physically, mentally and emotionally and you need to be with the right practice for you. While the nurses with Invia were lovely, I felt like a number to the doctors. My questions felt like an annoyance and outside of them doing an initial test to determine why my husband and I could not get pregnant, they stopped trying to solve the problem after it did not work. It felt like they were throwing IUI and IVF at the wall to see if a pregnancy would stick with a vague diagnosis of "unexplained infertility". 30-50% of women who are labeled with "unexplained infertility" end of having endometriosis. Not once was this a possibility brought up by the several doctors I spoke and worked with. I encourage this to be a question asked to your doctors - do a biopsy to help with clarity on your situation. After heartbreaking years here and feeling stuck in the cycle of surgeries and attempts through IUI and IVF, I made the decision to switch practices. This was the best decision because within 3 months I was diagnosed with endo, had a surgery to fix the problem and am now pregnant with our first baby. The biggest issue was the constant miscommunication between the doctor and the front desk staff. We were given incorrect medication instructions, which caused us to miss an entire transfer cycle. Anyone going through IVF understands how emotionally devastating that is. The problems did not stop there. After a successful transfer, we needed a release form from the clinic before we could even schedule an appointment with an OB. During the close-out meeting, the doctor told us the form would be sent the same day or the next day. Even next week, nothing had been sent. The only way to communicate with the doctor was through the patient portal, but we had not gotten a reply. Because of that, we repeatedly contacted the front desk asking when the form would finally be sent. Instead of apologizing or taking responsibility, we were told, “No need to send a portal message every day.” by MEGAN. That response was unbelievably rude and dismissive. The only reason we kept asking was because the clinic failed to do what they promised in the first place. IVF patients are already under enormous emotional stress. The last thing patients need is careless communication, broken promises, and disrespectful staff. This clinic made an already difficult process far more stressful than it needed to be.Nothing more than a sloppy cash grab. After one egg retrieval and one transfer at InVia, I am now successfully pregnant and couldn’t be happier. Dr. Karande skillfully guided me during my stims, Dr. Puscheck took great care of me during the egg retrieval, and Dr. Klipstein did an amazing job on my transfer for me. All 3 doctors I fully trust and you would be in good hands with any of them. At 39, I was uncertain I could be a mom but I got pregnant just 3-4 months after starting with InVia! They told me I was putting the cart before the horse, and I trusted…11/09/25 following up on this review. I spent a year at Invia asking for receptiva dx test for endometriosis. They told me I was putting the cart before the horse, and I trusted Dr Luu because she had done IVF. The first meeting we had with a new doctor at a new clinic was the receptiva dx test and it was positive for endometriosis. In one meeting with another clinic, they had an answer to our infertility in two weeks. I mentioned to our doctor at Invia that I personally knew people who had no symptoms of endometriosis, and had it. treated it and are now pregnant. Please please!! Please, learn about all the tests out there because invia will not tell you about them. Again, one year with invia, nothing. A week somewhere else, we have an answer. I should have gotten the test done I asked for first in December of 2024, and have a child by now but I do not because Invia just wants to take our money and not inform us about all your options. Future moms, trust your guts. Learn from my mistakes. If one doctor won't listen, another will. DO NOT GO HERE. If I could give 0 stars, I would. My husband and I started this journey in November 2024 with IUI. According to the doctors and nurses at Invia, everything always "looked great". After my second IUI, I had to take progesterone. My doctor and the nurses failed to tell me that this medication would delay my period. That was one of the many devastating realizations I had to discover on my own. We did one more round with no success. After that, we moved on to IVF. We had two failed transfers, again with no indication as to why they failed. Invia seems to demonstrate the definition of insanity and trying the same thing over and over again, expecting a change in their patient's journey to a successful pregnancy. Our third and final embryo transfer through IVF came after we paid big money we and one was viable. Our doctor suggested "taking a month off" to reset my body. I asked several times to do more tests during this month off since our doctor was basically saying "oh idk what's wrong" and literally giggled at me when I asked for specific tests like a hysteroscopy for endometriosis, saying I was " Putting the cart before the horse". Since everything was turning up normal, and I know several people who have struggled with silent endometriosis. I just used my last viable embryo. Still no answers from Invia on why I have not even gotten pregnant at all at this point. Lastly, my Doctor has called me for every negative pregnancy test result I have gotten. For this last negative one, after I requested and was denied more testing, she let her nurses break the news VIA the patient portal. Additionally, my husband and I are certain that during two of our "nurse" consults were not done by nurses at all, but just by normal staff. One left our meeting after I asked a question and said, " I wanted to ask a nurse to be sure.", We lost all of our 30k for LIFE fertility money through our insurance by trusting Invia, as well as tens of thousands of our own money. Their outdated one-way portal often went unanswered, and phone calls rarely led to timely or helpful responses. We had to chase down basic information at every step. Despite escalating our concerns to administration, and being told improvements would follow, the same mistakes continued week after week. Apologies became routine, but action never followed. At the Hoffman Estates location, staff were cold and impersonal — it felt like “get in, get out”, not the compassionate care you’d expect in such an emotional process. In contrast, the Crystal Lake technician was a bright spot — kind, encouraging, and a rare example of what this experience should’ve felt like. Scheduling was disorganized, prescriptions were incomplete, and billing was confusing and error-prone. On more than one occasion, we left appointments in tears — not just from the stress of fertility treatment, but from how unsupported and dismissed we felt by the clinic. In addition, her sense of humor is very effective at calming nerves and hormones. I would also highly recommend Dr Puscheck. She is easy to talk to and extremely optimistic. Things can sometimes be disorganized during the fertility process with InVia Fertility, but when you draw things to their attention they are quick to respond and remedy things. Be sure to pay attention to appointment or insurance/billing details, to make sure things are taken care of in a timely manner and to reduce last minute stress. Don't hesitate to ask questions, they are happy to guide you and are very knowledgeable. Hoffman Estates has been my main location for procedures being done by the doctor. For routine ultrasounds and blood work though, they have other possibly more convenient locations to choose from: Arlington Heights, Northbrook & Crystal Lake. There is also one in Chicago & Rockford. It is best to reach out to the nurses with any medical & procedure specific questions via portal messages. They are incredibly responsive when you write instead of call them. In these busy times, we all know a phone call can be more time consuming & tougher to return over something like a text message. The doctors are understandably best to speak with in person, during specific consultation appointments or phone calls from them. They have started using Cloud Rx who will contact pharmacies for you, in order to get your drugs ordered and delivered quickly. After dealing with call centers previously, this is such a relief. It is wonderful that InVia cared to make this a better experience for their patients. Their main website also has helpful videos about how to take all your drugs safely & properly. In such an unhappy and high pressure environment, the staff does their absolute best to help people bring happiness back into their lives. I have encountered people across the board (doctors, ultrasound technicians, nurses, front desk secretaries, phlebotomists) who have felt like a warm hug during the emotionally painful process of getting fertility help. They also call over and over to collect payments two weeks before the due date which was very greedy. I always pay on time and still get calls that I need to make a payment or it will be charged interest. Pregnancy results are sent to you via message no calls to support your emotionally. To anyone seeing this, if you are a person that is extremely patient and have a strong heart and is willing to put yourself through lots of stress and frustration, plus having people not respect you or you simply don’t care try it out but there is no going back because your money will be taken ahead of time and there is no refund if you decide to not proceed with the procedure.
