They charge everything to you and leave the hassle of billing and reimbursement from insurance completely to you. Please see below specific criticisms: 1) Extremely poor customer service (even by the low standards of US healthcare in general). Whenever you call their helpdesk for anything, whether for billing or a medical emergency, you get voicemail and very delayed response (sometimes no response at all), 2) No doctor access - you cannot book to see or speak with the doctors. You can message nurses and aides, but response is delayed and generally very unhelpful (they generally just try to get rid of you and hand your problem off to someone else). You do not decide when you get to see/speak to a doctor; only they decide. 3) Billing Mistakes - According to my insurance company, they made many billing mistakes that led to no reimbursement or payment from insurance company for things that should have been billed. This led to hours of calls and emails to resolve. If you have other options for fertility clinics or providers, please go with those. I would not recommend IRMS in any way.L

Being there for so long I got to meet and deal with most of the doctors there at one point or another whether it was my egg retrieval, transfer, delivering bad news, just a scan because my doctor was out of town, all of them were professional, compassionate, caring and understanding. Dr. Chen is not only incredibly knowledgeable and professional, but also compassionate and reassuring during what can be such an emotional and stressful process. Her expertise and dedication made all the difference for my husband and I. Also Pam, Chantelle, and Shirley — are truly exceptional. Their kindness, patience, and constant encouragement meant more than I can put into words. They always took the time to answer questions, ease worries, and make me feel comfortable and hopeful. This clinic became more than just a medical office over the years — it became a place of support and care during one of the biggest and hardest journeys of my life. My account was sent to collections without ever receiving a statement, written notice, or phone call. I only learned of the issue when contacted by the collections agency. Being treated this way feels unfair and unprofessional, particularly in the emotionally and financially challenging context of IVF treatment. Clear, timely, and transparent communication is essential, and this practice fell far short. Patients deserve better, and this office can and should do better.
I completed 1 round of IVF at this clinic in Nov'25 and decided to switch providers for the next round due to several issues during my treatment. After my initial consultation…I completed 1 round of IVF at this clinic in Nov'25 and decided to switch providers for the next round due to several issues during my treatment. After my initial consultation with Dr. Cekleniak, where we discussed the overall approach for me, I had very limited communication with the doctor. Throughout my treatment, I did not receive progress updates tied to my bloodwork or ultrasound results from the clinic, and there was no explanation of what those results meant. When I asked questions, responses sometimes felt rushed and brushed off, which made it hard to feel confident in the progress. I found more certainty by searching for similar shared results among IVF Reddit group. A limited communication would have been fine if the expectation was set at the beginning. There were also several issues with accuracy and coordination during my treatment. During one interaction, the doctor referenced someone else’s medical history, which could be understandable if there was other communication to give me confidence that my medical history was being used consistently and that was a genuine mistake. Additionally, the nurses lined up a treatment step that did not align with what had been agreed on during the consultation, which I had to strongly push for clarification. My challenge to the change in treatment was not taken seriously by email or calling. I had to drive to the office to have a nurse review my profile details. The nurse reached out to the doctor who then called me to confirm that the change was not necessary. As the final point for me at this clinic, I was given different medicine doses than what was communicated to my pharmacy in preparation for the IVF round 2, which required multiple phone calls in the middle of work day to clarify. These issues severely undermined my trust in the clinic and left me questioning whether my care plan and treatment updates were being managed in the optimal way. Fertility treatment is already physically and mentally demanding, and clear and accurate communication is essential to avoiding additional stress. That said, there were couple bright spots. Sherry, an ultrasound nurse, was a ray of sunshine before 6a! She is patient, optimistic, and detailed in explaining the process. I felt I knew my progress when I saw her. Also, the phlebotomists ladies were kind and efficient — they worked with me to prevent bruising after repeated blood draws from the same vein. They made it work with a limited number of viable veins on my armsA

Meeting the doctor first day, we felt hopeful, informed and understood. Would’ve been good to know that was one of the two times I’d ever see the doctor again. A series of bloodwork and ultrasounds came thereafter and I was never told what was found on the scans until I casually asked the NP that had to do the ultrasound in place of my doctor because she was away. The final ultrasound to check my uterus because I had some endometrial scarring from a previous D&C was cleared and in that 30 second scan, doc said I looked great and we could proceed with the medication process to start retrieving in the future. Yet we never decided to go forward with IVF. We just wanted answers. Up until the last time I contacted the team assigned to me, I was told, they didn’t have a reason to give. So I’m happy I decided to halt proceeding with any medication because it just seemed to be the end game we didn’t choose. We walked away defeated and more heartbroken than how we came in. Between my gyno and this office, it just seemed we were treated as a price and not as patients. In my honest opinion, if it works out for any other person then I’m Glad but we didn’t have the best experience. I even left my gyno office and found a new doctor referred by a family friend and she was a god send being with me every step of the way. And because I made the choice to just try again naturally with my husband, 2 months later, I found out I was pregnant again and we welcomed our rainbow baby in July 2025.J

At first, like many reviewers mention, I felt there was little to no emotional support or compassionate communication. This is an emotional journey, and it often felt like the process was just step-by-step instructions with no personal connection. When I shared this feedback, the nurses did make an effort to be warmer, which I appreciated. The reason for my 2-star rating is not the treatment itself but the way appointments and billing were handled: After the initial consultation, you do not see your doctor again unless you specifically request (and pay) for an appointment. The only other time you’ll see them is during your final scan before transferring to a regular OB-GYN. They require payment in full before each step — which is fine — but they mishandled my last appointment. The doctor was traveling, and no one told me it was canceled. I waited over 30 minutes before they realized and offered to have a tech scan me. The next day, they scheduled me with the doctor, who scanned me as well. At no point was I told these would be billed separately. A month later, I received a bill for $1,600 for those last two scans, saying I had requested “additional” appointments. After emailing, they reduced about $200 but still charged me for the final doctor visit, calling it “maternity care.” I was never informed in advance that this would be billed separately. I repeatedly asked for a detailed cost breakdown and never received one beyond a lump sum in the portal. Later, they sent another bill for $2,300 — again, without proper explanation. The treatment outcome itself was fine, but charging patients without clear, upfront disclosure of all potential costs is unfair — especially for a package treatment where the patient sees the doctor only twice in 4–5 months. If you choose this clinic, I strongly recommend getting every single cost in writing before each appointment to avoid surprise charges.J

Those are real concerns, and it seems the clinic has fixed those issues, I saw none of what was mentioned during my 8+ visits. What I did see, was a group of hard working women, most of whom need to arrive to work around 5:30am. The nurses and physicians were patient, and competent. I felt cared for and listened to. The patient portal was tricky, but if you spend 5 minutes getting familiar with the app or website, it’s not so bad. I was happy to have access to all my lab results, appointment times, and direct messaging, even if it meant needing to take an additional 2 minutes to figure out how to do it. It’s a big decision to choose a fertility clinic, and this one has some of the best equipment available, and physicians/nurses/lab techs who have done this work for decades. Highly suggested.L

The team from the front desk to the nurses and ultrasound team was so helpful and friendly. Nurse Cherise was a highlight of my visits at this location during the ultrasound portion of the appointments , she has been very jovial and gracious. The office is clean and welcoming. I would recommend going here if you are looking for a fertility clinic with a knowledgeable and caring team. A pro tip: when getting to the main, drive all the way down to the right and enter the parking spaces on the east wing patient parking lot and enter through the doors next to the ambulance/emergency ward so that it is less walking to the elevator to get on the fourth floor where the office is located. On Saturdays, holidays and Sundays the door is closed however a staff may be there to help you get in if that doesn't work out, then you would have to walk all the way down to the main entrance door and walk the long hallway to the elevator. I have parked at the main entrance and it is a long walk when entering the main corridor to get to the east wing elevators.B

Going through the process you'll encounter a lot of the other Dr's/staff as well and I found Dr. Aly to be really lovely as well! I will also note that as plus size woman going through this process can be extremely intimidating because of rampant fat phobia in healthcare. I never once felt the impact of that stigma with Dr. Hessler, nor did I feel my care or the dignity I was treat with was contingent on my size.S

The whole team at IRMS was so understanding and helpful throughout our journey. I worked with Dr. Chen and my nurse Anne, both of whom are warm and patient, answering all my phone calls and emails. I had a couple procedures done with Dr. Hessler as well, who was amazing and very gentle. The ladies at the front desk are always friendly and professional. The dedication these professionals display is outstanding. They are there all the time; weekends, inclement weather, holidays...we recently visited with our now three month old perfect daughter and the entire office staff came out to say hello.
