Anytime we asked questions we were made to feel we…I would highly not recommend this clinic. Our experience was impersonal, poor treatment, and dismissive from beginning to end. Anytime we asked questions we were made to feel we were being difficult instead of being patients trying to understand major medical decisions. Responses were curt borderline rude especially from Nurse Jo The retrieval day was especially upsetting. My wife was woken up after the procedure she was given almost no time to recover before being told to leave. She was escorted out in a wheelchair within minutes without us feeling like anyone had actually checked whether she was okay. It felt like moving patients through a process, not caring for people. This made sense in hindsight since they batch process women here with no personal care. That same feeling showed up throughout treatment. We never met our doctor before retrieval despite repeatedly asking. We only got an appointment afterward because we pushed and insisted and had lower than expected results. When we received lower than expected results we still had to fight to get time with the doctor for the first time. Looking back, we also became concerned that the treatment approach was not individualized. After transferring care to facility and getting another physician’s opinion, we were told my wife’s stimulation protocol appeared significantly more aggressive than what they would have recommended for her case. When we questioned them on the dosage They told her she had diminishing reserve which wasn’t the case confirmed by other facilities. We were also not offered treatment options with natural cycles which my wife would have been a candidate for, including approaches that involved less medication because this facility just doesnt do. Ultimately we did another retrieval, and natural implantation in PNWF which wasn’t an option here. Worst part is they didn’t even give us an option here and would have had my wife go through months more of injections instead of talking to us about what’s the best course of action. We eventually moved clinics and the difference was night and day: more access to the physician, more discussion of options, more willingness to answer questions, and care that actually felt tailored to the patient. Fertility treatment is one of the most vulnerable experiences people go through. Patients should not have to fight to be heard.
