It's a nice touch, but remember, you're there for a professional experience. A professional experience is far from what I had during my visit. I met with Gabriela who advised against IUIs because she said they aren't affective for a 41 year old. Mind you, this was prior to any testing! Then, Gabriela performed a follicle count on day 19 of my cycle, even though this scan is typically done between days 2–5 for accuracy. My previous follicle count, done at the correct time in my cycle, showed 18 follicles, while this one showed only 8. I left feeling extremely worried, but later realized the scan had been done at the wrong point in my cycle, which likely affected the count. After the follicle count I went to an office where I was told that my insurance would cover all of an IVF procedure. Ha! Thank God I was well aware of my insurance and that I had less than 6k left in fertility benefits. Just imagine if I would've believed them. Lastly, they did some blood tests. It took 14 days to get my AMH results back. While I was waiting for my results, I kept getting calls and emails asking me to sign up for IVF. Unfortunately, you're just a dollar sign here.
