Even though I saw a rotation of the midwives, everyone was always up to date, the appointments were through, and not rushed. Even though some of my labs were in normal range, we treated symptoms and worked to increase a few labs, which made a world of difference in how I felt. I unfortunately had to switch care at the end of my pregnancy to the hospital due to thw oakleaf midwives not having privileges to deliver anywhere. With the craziness that is going on right now in Eau Claire I would not go here. unfortunately with sacred heart shutting down they have to practice through Marshfield clinic…With the craziness that is going on right now in Eau Claire I would not go here. unfortunately with sacred heart shutting down they have to practice through Marshfield clinic hospital which is a terrible clinic. We spent 32 weeks seeing our Dr until we found out my wife needed throat surgery. we had to have that done in Rochester. After that we were told everything was good to go and that we could deliver safely. we continued seeing them every week until 39 weeks. at the 39 week appointment she said all was fine but she wanted to prep the anesthesiologist for IF there is an emergency c section. we went home with her saying all was still fine. Then at 430 on a Friday she calls and says they weren't comfortable any longer and if she goes into labor we now need to drive back to rochester Minnesota. my frustration is we had the surgery at 32 weeks and they waited until 39 weeks to tell us this. Leaving no time to get to know a new OB or even to make any calls. Basically saying I know we spent 39 weeks together but it ends now good luck! Terrible and I can't believe it's even allowed. to try and make it less concerning we went to our surgeon on Saturday and he checked her over and did another scan where he found everything was normal. he wrote us a letter saying all is good and they still said no. What a waste of time. We enjoyed our Ob and that's why I gave 2 stars but really what good is enjoying your OB when they won't even be involved in the delivery. stay away until they get a new hospital to operate out of. we ended up getting mayo in eau claire to take us on... somehow it's safe for them but not marshfield...Had an appointment to remove IUD and family plan. Which I had to get a pre authorization from insurance to do as it wasn’t covered. Come to find out, I can’t give birth there, was told I had to transfer all of my care to Marshfield hospital in Marshfield and get 2 new pre authorizations for that which could take some time to go through as the first one took weeks (I had done all of this around 20 weeks so I’d be prepared and ready) I gave up being this far along with twins and went somewhere my insurance did cover. The whole situation of being told to go somewhere, where I actually couldn’t and having to transfer care so late into pregnancy caused so much headache and stress for me. Truly disappointed they don’t know what they are doing for their patients.It can be hard to find a doctor who is competent, respectful, allows you to make your own decisions, and is accessible. Went in due to my wife being pregnant and we've had 7 miscarriages previously and we were treated like a number on a list. No kind of bedside manner. We did an ultrasound and…Went in due to my wife being pregnant and we've had 7 miscarriages previously and we were treated like a number on a list. No kind of bedside manner. We did an ultrasound and blood draw and the only time we were talked to is when we were given directions. Never saw our doctor who we've discussed our situation with before and he always tells my wife she could lose weight. Which I've seen a few dozen women heavier than my wife in the waiting room who are pregnant. Anyway, we go in for our second blood draw and to discuss some light bleeding. Never got to see our doctor and the nurse didn't feel comfortable advising us on what could be happening. So we requested that our doctor be at our next appointment to answer questions. 3 days later we still haven't received our results from our blood draw. We contact the clinic finally and they inform us that they've lost our sample. Of blood! So we schedule to come in that day to do a redraw. By this point my wife has lost so much blood that we are certain she is having a miscarriage. We get to the appointment there is no doctor just the nurse to do the blood draw. Which is upsetting because we contacted my sister-in-law who reached out to her OB after listening to what we've been dealing with and she was able to give us information on test to have the doctor run. Which didn't happen because the doctor still didn't show up. At the end of the appointment we asked to schedule a meeting with a new doctor at a time when we could speak with the clinic supervisor. The day of the appointment the new doctor canceled due to family issues, understandable. But the supervisor is unavailable to talk to us at 8 when they open so a wasted trip. Not at all happy with this experience or any experience I've had with this clinic. My plan now is to hold off paying my bill until someone calls me back to file a grievance. Don't waist your time with this clinic if you're actually looking for help with conceiving. My least favorite part of this experience besides the miscarriage is that after every appointment our doctor would send us an automatic reply thanking us for coming to see him which was like a paragraph long.I recommend Dr. Crow for any OBGYN related issues. Dr. Crow has been the least supportive doctor to any physical and emotional needs during my miscarriage and will then inform you, "you're grieving too hard." He prescribed me medication to pass our baby and days go by with no follow up call. He then referred to our baby, which we got to hold and spend time with, as "something that looked liked fetal tissue" . He did his best to help me. I just had a hysterectomy about a month ago and he was my surgeon. He was amazing.
