My wife said what about a procedure to remove it and allow the uterus to heal? Nope, hysterectomy!!! Luckily real caring people became involved and my wife was able to get good care. Throughout this time, I stayed in contact with the office, and my family also kept them informed about what was happening. The pain was absolutely unbearable. It was so severe that it frightened our youngest son to see his mother suffering that much and resulted him having to go to therapy. I could not walk for over a month. Darcy and another doctor I saw were very kind and compassionate. However, when I went in to see Dr. Toma in person, my experience was extremely disappointing. I was in the worst pain of my life and had to have my husband drive over two hours to get me there, only to be told that there was essentially nothing that could be done. I received no empathy or concern. He was very mean and cold as I was in tears. To make matters worse, Dr. Toma prescribed two medications that i was told to take together that my pharmacist later warned my husband should never be taken together and would have had very serious consequences( Death) for me. It ultimately took visits to two additional doctors before I was finally prescribed an antibiotic that helped treat the infection. As a result, my recovery took much longer than it should have, and we incurred significantly more medical expenses. I have still not become pregnant, which has made this experience even more painful for our family. Reading the positive outcomes in other reviews has been difficult because that was not our experience. I will update once I get pregnant! As for NCCRM, I can’t recommend this office enough for tubal reversal. When I had my tubal ligation back in 2020, I regretted it just a couple of months later. I felt like I had lost a piece of myself that God designed me to have. NCCRM has truly given me a second chance, and this reversal made me feel whole again—like I was always meant to be. Yesterday, I underwent my tubal reversal, and I am beyond pleased with the care I received. Everyone at the facility was incredibly kind. The anesthesiologist was such a character—he had me laughing even when I was terrified of going under. Dr. Toma is extremely professional, straightforward, and I appreciate how clearly he explains everything without sugarcoating. They also won’t answer the phone, agree to get on a call with my insurance, or respond to emails in a timely manner to help resolve the problem. I wish I NEVER wasted my time or money at the place. I changed clinics to another clinic in Raleigh and got pregnant my first round of IVF and now pregnant with my 2nd. There are WAAAAAY better clinics out there. After prolonged monitoring of what was borderline a failing pregnancy, a repeat ultrasound confirmed there was no heartbeat and no embryo growth. I received a phone call instructing me to take medication to end the pregnancy. I made it very clear how severe my anxiety was about taking the medication and about going through the miscarriage process. I even requested anxiety medication to help me manage it. This was one of the most devastating experiences of my life. After I completed the medication process, I received absolutely no follow-up from the clinic. No one checked on me. No one confirmed that the miscarriage was complete.No one instructed me to schedule a follow-up ultrasound to ensure everything had cleared. No one discussed next steps. No one reached out at all. Not even to discuss how to try again. After a failed cycle and pregnancy loss, I was completely ignored. I had fully intended to move forward with another IVF cycle at this clinic. That was my plan. But the total lack of medical follow-up and basic human compassion made it clear that continuing care there would not be in my best interest. Regardless of outcome, patients deserve continuity of care, proactive follow-up after a miscarriage, and some degree of empathy. Instead, I felt abandoned at the lowest point of the entire process. Because of this experience, I chose to pursue treatment elsewhere. I strongly encourage anyone considering this clinic to ask very specific questions about how they handle pregnancy loss and post-miscarriage follow-up before committing to treatment.

The whole process was great. I had a wonderful experience and the staff was excellent. Recovery time did not take long at all. I followed all the steps and made sure I got plenty of rest and stayed hydrated. If you are a smoker it's best that you stop smoking months ahead of time cause it will hinder the recovery process. I once was a smoker and quit 6 months ahead and have not went back. I gave not started trying to conceive just yet. I am a mother of 4 with 3 older sons and a daughter who just started high school. My husband and I have no children and would like to try soon. I'm 45 as of now and would like to have at least one more or two. Lol. I will keep you posted once I conceive. Good luck and don't give up on getting that reversal for it's worth it. Today is July 4th 2025 and I have wonderful news to share. I had a physical done at my clinic and found out im pregnant!!!! It's still early to know anything further but I was shocked to find out so I had my nurse test me again. Test came back positive again. I later went to my local hospital to be absolutely sure and tested positive there as well. My HCG is 1182 as of now and the ultrasound didn't show an ectopic pregnancy. I have a follow up visit with my OBGYN in 2 weeks and find out more then. This came at a surprise and shock because I just started trying a month ago. Keep me and my fetus in prayer. Everyone was so excited to hear i was pregnant. The loss was very hard for me and I wanted to not try again. Baby A is the name I gave it. I lost it July 10th 2025. I had counseling and found out my sister had lost hers as well a month after me, and the sweet nurse who drew my blood each week checking to be sure my HCG levels were going down had lost hers same time I did. So I had people I could talk to and didn't feel so alone in it. It is now February 24,2026 and I am ready to try again. I will keep you all updated on the journey. Dont give up because the surgery works with getting them reversed. Having a few miscarriages is part of it frok what I heard but a live birth is very possible so I will keep trying and keep believing and I wish you all the best in your TRYING TO CONCEIVE ERAS. I’m usually stressed and in a panic with those procedures but he talked the whole time, was quick and professional and I felt completely at ease the whole time. Then we wen to his office and he went over the procedure and what to expect along with covering all possible risks and such. Dr Rice gave a brief history for him and Dr Sameh Toma and I found out how truly skilled and known Dr Toma is for this procedure. Dr Toma has over 30 years experience and Dr Rice moved down from NY to work with Dr Toma; highly regarded team for sure! I felt very solid in my choice of provider for my tubal reversal. Pre-op was smooth and Spencer was my right hand lady the rest of the day; she was so friendly, professional, comforting and kept a fun lighthearted atmosphere. The anesthesiologist Fritz and his assistant Kerry were knowledgeable and thorough in all aspects and when I asked for the needle to be placed on a certain spot on one arm to avoid soreness on my hand he was able to accommodate and I felt heard and respected. The entire team works so well together and I felt like I was with a friend group that loves what they do and enjoy working with each other. Lots of conversations and an overall family feel. The surgery went as perfectly as it could have and I am able to manage the minimal pain well with the prescribed pain medication and only had slight nausea afterwards but it has since passed. They made me feel very comfortable throughout my whole procedure. I was worried that I wouldn’t have much fallopian tube after the procedure and I ended up having plenty. I tried getting pregnant as soon as I was cleared to do so. Months went by and I was not coming up pregnant. I was stressing really bad. Scared that my tubes may have closed or my PCOS was keeping me from getting pregnant. I finally decided not to track my ovulation nor have planned sex anymore. Once I did that, I became pregnant almost 9 months post operation. I am currently 14 weeks and 4 days pregnant with a baby boy. I just want to say thank you!
