My first appointment was with Dr. Kovanci, and I arrived carrying the history of many unsuccessful attempts at other clinics, after years of broken hopes and emotional exhaustion. However, from that very first consultation, Dr. Kovanci gave me hope, confidence, and reassurance. He was honest in explaining that the road ahead would not be easy, and that I would even need to go through surgery, but I left that appointment feeling renewed, with a sense of hope I had not felt in a very long time. Soon after, we began a long and difficult process: hormones, injections, blood tests, mood swings, unexplained sadness, more injections, more blood tests, surgery, and a difficult recovery. But through every step of that journey, I felt supported by an extraordinary team. From the front desk staff, who always treated me by name and with such warmth that they made me feel like family, to Dr. Roach, whom I also saw for some appointments, and Nurse Hanna, who held my hand more than once with the tenderness of a mother. As a result of that journey, today I have a beautiful baby girl who is about to turn three years old. She is my greatest treasure and the greatest miracle of my life: my dream come true.
