I simply stated that she didn’t do much to help me). He then proceeded to talk down to me about my journey and was speaking as if my fertility journey was doomed. He spoke about options as if there was no hope for me until he got to the IVF option. When I told him that parts of that process make me nervous he proceeded to tell me that I basically needed to get over those fears if I wanted to have children. I specifically asked every single person I talked to whether my clinic would get the results on time and everyone reassured me that they would. This never happened, they did not send the results to my clinic on time (they only sent over the results in the afternoon after I called them but by that time it was too late because my doctor wasn’t able to look at them). So the ultrasound and the bloodwork that I paid $300 for was for nothing. It also took me an hour to get these two things done, whereas at my clinic I’m in and out in like 20 minutes. They were also unable to provide a proper receipt of the amount I paid. When my husband and I first started trying to conceive, we began by undergoing a medical check-up. My AMH levels came back low, so I was referred to a fertility specialist for a more detailed. We decided to go with Dr. Christine Mansfield. She seemed very sweet and pleasant, and we thought she was a competent doctor. After the evaluation, she was told that I had a blocked fallopian tube and low AMH levels, and she was strongly advised to start IVF immediately—while there was still time! That marked the beginning of a living hell that lasted for two years. I underwent three embryo transfers: the first one didn't implant, and the other two resulted in miscarriages before the eighth week of pregnancy. My cycle was constantly being regulated with birth control pills, which led to several hormonal imbalances. At every single appointment, they drew my blood to check my hormone levels (even though there was no medical necessity for it). Then, after my last miscarriage, the doctor told me that I wouldn't be able to carry a baby myself and that we would most likely need a surrogate mother! I simply couldn't take it anymore, so I withdrew my medical records from the clinic. (Incidentally, they actually handed me records over to another woman by mistake—they called me later asking me to come back because of the mix-up.) I then turned to a different clinic, where they suggested performing a laparoscopy to figure out what the actual problem was. As it turned out, my fallopian tubes were open and clear, and my AMH levels were well within the normal range. Once I stopped taking the birth control pills and all the other hormones prescribed to me at that first clinic, I successfully conceived naturally and gave birth to a wonderful, long-awaited son—who is now nearly three years old! And I won't even go into how much money we wasted at that clinic. A doctor's incorrect diagnosis nearly ruined my life!I have had such a great experience with this clinic, after fighting with the VA for two years on coverage. My insurance representative suggested a simple coding review with my physician's office(Aspire), but Aspire’s billing department is a 'one-way street.' They force you into an online portal and ignore requests for a phone call or further clarification from their online portal messages. It’s impossible to resolve a financial discrepancy when no one will actually speak to you.

I had a video consult with Dr. Rivas and she seemed great--my review is not directed at her, since I never even got to meet her. She suggested I come in for tests/procedures that had to be done on a certain day in my cycle. No problem, we have been on this journey 6 years, and everything she suggested seemed great. I was told to call at the appropriate time. I did, but unfortunately that was during the blizzard in Jan 2026, so we decided to wait till this month. I went back and forth on the app with someone about which tests were actually being done, and while they were kind, they seemed incredibly confused and couldn't answer a simple question. I thought I can just clarify everything the next month. Well, its now "next month" and I called the office and spoke with Charlie (he's not horrible, but he's also not the nicest person I have interacted with. I wish clinics would have nicer people on the phones. But I digress...) Charlie told me to message my team on the app. He also informed me that there were still forms I had to sign. I was flabbergasted that no one had gotten this done in the past month. I messaged the team letting them know that what was going on and no one got back to me. Keep in mind, these tests can only be performed 3 days out of the month, so timing is extremely important. I first messaged them at 3pm and again at 5pm with no reply. It is not the next day at 11:30 and still nothing. I can only have the procedures done tomorrow, otherwise we have to wait ANOTHER month. I wasted an entire month on this clinic, and now I have to start over somewhere else. I just dont understand why they feel its okay to treat patients like this. It might just be a regular day at work for them, but to fertility patients its our entire lives, our entire futures, that these doctors hold in their hands. And they don't seem to care. I am deeply disappointed, heartbroken, and angry. There is no excuse for treating patients like this. I do NOT recommend this place. (Just as I posted this, they got back to me, and their reply does NOT help them. I was told last month my tests had to be done on cycle day 2-4, and today they are telling me its 4-11. I called and emailed multiple times to dispute this, since the clinic had given me wrong information and also worked directly with my insurance. Despite this, they refused to take responsibility and forced me to pay the full bill. If they had provided the correct information, I would have waited just a few weeks since my new insurance began on January 1. Instead, they gave me misinformation, and I ended up paying out of pocket unnecessarily. Their staff were unhelpful, unreasonable, and even threatened to send me to collections. This is extremely unprofessional and unfair treatment of patients. I am very upset and disappointed with how they handled this situation. I paid everything just to avoid further stress, but I will never return to this clinic. Dr. Mansfield is truly wonderful. Her bedside manner is exceptional, and I always felt well cared for under her guidance. I can’t speak highly enough of her and the clinical team. However, the financial department is an entirely different story. Our experience with billing has been incredibly frustrating. From the start, there were issues with preauthorization being delayed due to the department “accidentally” faxing the wrong numbers, costing us weeks of unnecessary waiting. Even more concerning, Aspire has owed us a refund of $11,000+/-. Our last procedure was 2/24. At the end of April, we spoke with Aspire, received a full itemized ledger, and confirmed what we were going to received in refund back to the original form of payment. We understand that these things take time and we were patient, but months had gone by now. Despite multiple conversations and follow-ups almost daily for the last two weeks, we have yet to receive any of the refund, nor has Aspire provide insights on which claims are still outstanding. Trust me when I say, I sound ridiculous speaking to my insurance company on multiple occasions telling them Aspire keeps saying we still have pending claims. I sound crazy because my insurance company keeps saying everything has been paid for and done. Responses through the patient portal are vague at best (“I’m checking with billing to see what the hold-up is”) and often followed by complete silence until I reach out again. Which results in the same vague answer. We’ve asked to hop on a call multiple times, in which we’ve always received the same vague response. For such a large amount, it’s deeply disappointing that there seems to be no urgency or accountability. At least provide us with the pending claims, so we can understand why the hold up. In short, the medical care is excellent, but the financial side of this clinic is disorganized and stressful. Proceed with caution. I absolutely hate that I can’t rate Aspire better than this.
