Frozen embryo transfer calendar.
Turn a FET date into a planning calendar — due date, beta window, ultrasound range, and exportable milestones.
Planning aid for family building — not medical, legal, or tax advice, and not a clinical opinion for your case.
A frozen embryo transfer does not change the due-date math — the estimate is still the transfer date plus 261 days for a day-5 embryo or plus 263 for a day-3 embryo, because the count is anchored to the embryo’s age, not to fresh versus frozen.

Medicated vs. natural-cycle FET: two paths to the same transfer day.
How soon you can pencil in a transfer date depends on the kind of FET cycle your clinic runs. In a medicated (programmed) cycle, the clinic sets the schedule — estrogen builds the uterine lining, progesterone sets the transfer clock — so the transfer date is often chosen weeks in advance and rarely moves. In a natural or modified-natural cycle, the calendar follows your own ovulation instead, so the transfer date is typically confirmed only days ahead once monitoring pins down timing.
Which cycle type you are on is a clinical decision between you and your care team. This calendar deliberately starts where that decision ends: the moment a transfer date exists, the downstream math is identical for both paths.
What the countdown covers.
Enter your transfer date and the calendar lays out the stretch most FET patients actually white-knuckle: transfer day, then the beta hCG window about 9–14 days later, then the first ultrasound window roughly 4–5 weeks after transfer — typically around 5–6 weeks gestational age once a beta series confirms. From there it widens out to trimester markers, the anatomy-scan window, and the estimated due date.
Every dated milestone exports as an .ics file for your phone calendar, and saving to the on-device Journey Passport keeps the dates available across the other Family-Building Lab tools — no account required.
Frozen transfer FAQ.
Does a frozen transfer change the due date math?
No. The estimate is the same 266 minus embryo age, counted from the transfer date — plus 261 days for a day-5 blastocyst, plus 263 for a day-3 embryo. Freezing pauses the embryo rather than aging it, so a day-5 blastocyst is still a day-5 blastocyst when it is thawed and transferred.
When is the pregnancy test (beta) after a FET?
Most clinics draw the first beta hCG about 9 to 14 days after transfer, which is the window this calendar marks. Your clinic sets the exact draw day for your protocol — the calendar shows a range on purpose rather than promising a date.
Can I put my FET schedule in my phone calendar?
Yes. After you enter a transfer date, export the timeline as an .ics file and open it in Apple, Google, or Outlook calendars. Each milestone — transfer day, beta window, ultrasound window, and the estimated due date — lands as an all-day event you can share.
