She spent time with me, not just as a patient but as a…After getting treated like I was on a conveyor belt by other Glendale Obs, Dr. Kornafel was an absolute paradigm shift. She spent time with me, not just as a patient but as a person. I feel like I know her, she knows me and I have a lot of trust for her because of this. We greet each other as old friends. My current needs as a patient are starting to drop off (thanks to her amazing care) and I am genuinely sad that I won't get to enjoy the monthly chats we've had over the last several months while she's helped me navigate my issues. She's a direct communicator and I guess that can be hard for some, but I've always felt like she really wants to bring her patients closer. I've learned a ton about my own body and what to expect from it in the future. I will never hesitate to book an appointment with Dr. Kornafel and I would gladly be a cash payer if she was suddenly out of my network. I've read several of the other negative reviews of her, and want to clear up a few things and set some expectations. 1. You can always ask to get a breakdown of estimated costs from both your insurance and her staff. But know, this is just an estimate. It is not a given doctor or providers fault if suddenly your insurance changes, how they reimburse or how much they reimburse for various services. Unfortunately, it's up to us to stay on top of that stuff with our insurance. 2. If you're uncomfortable, feeling like somebody is trying to develop a genuine relationship with you based on mutual trust and friendship, Dr. Kornafel probably isn't for you. Trust me, there are lots of doctors in this town who would be happy to treat you like a faceless piece of meat.
