She writes everything down, asks detailed questions about every symptom, and really takes the time to dig deeper. You never feel rushed or dismissed, she makes you feel like your health truly matters. As a mom of two, I’ve had more than my fair share of OB/GYN experiences, and no one and I truly mean no one comes close to Dr. Shabani. The level of care, attention, and compassion she provides is unmatched. Her office and team are just as wonderful warm, organized, and professional. I trust her with my eyes closed, which is something I don’t say lightly. If you are looking for an OB/GYN who will advocate for you, listen to you, and provide exceptional care, Dr. Shabani is the one. I cannot recommend her enough.S

I was told the procedure would be fully covered by insurance and 3 months later I kept getting bill from labcorp. The clinic did not help fix a clear lab billing error and told me…I was told the procedure would be fully covered by insurance and 3 months later I kept getting bill from labcorp. The clinic did not help fix a clear lab billing error and told me to contact Labcorp myself when UHC told me only clinic can reach Labcorp. No one explained my lab results, and months later I was hit with a surprise $100 bill for a phone consult for lab result explanation I had to request. After my September 29, 2025 appointment, I received a Labcorp bill because the services were billed incorrectly. The full visit the clinic told me it will be fully covered by my insurance. UnitedHealthcare told me the clinic needs to request a corrected claim from Labcorp. Instead of resolving it, the clinic repeatedly told me to contact Labcorp myself. Labcorp is extremely difficult to reach, and despite a month of emails and calls, I received little to no meaningful response. I was left dealing with a billing mistake that wasn’t mine. On top of that, no one proactively explained my lab results. I had to call and schedule a phone consultation a month later just to understand them. Then, four months after that, I received a $100 bill with no prior explanation. When I called to question it, I was told it was for the phone consult and that they would “happily waive it.” Patients should not have to chase basic communication, fight billing disputes, and deal with surprise charges months later. Based on this experience, I WILL AVOID this clinic AT ALL COST.L

Everything went fine under sleep. But in each step of the process, I asked if everything would be taking care by my insurance and they told me, each time, that yes, I would have nothing to pay from my pocket. And now, few months later, I still receive invoices asking me to pay 600$ there, another 200$ there... I don't know when this will end and I never gotten a reply by email from their billing service.P

Every time I’ve come, I’ve had to wait. An hour+ is ridiculous. They also did not notify me of the delay. I asked after 20 min and they said I’ll be seen in the next 10min. 45 min later, still no doctor. Still waiting. I’m not a fan of doctor’s offices that don’t treat patients’ time as important. They claim that there were “too many walk-ins” however I booked an appointment time so I’m not sure why this is not honored. It was also not an option for me to switch times. Extremely disappointed in the office. The front desk should handle operations better if appoints are delayed by 30min. You should not be staying silent and doing nothing for the patients who are waiting for a scheduled appointment. They did say to me “clearly something needs to be discussed” in relation to the delay but being proactive is helpful. At the minimum, please communicate.A

I was rushed out of my appointment and had to basically fight with the front desk in order to be allowed to ask follow up questions from my doctor. The doctor had left the room duing the ultrasound when I was asking her questions. It was my understanding that we would follow up in her office, but then I was told she did not need to see me and that I should go. I still had concerns that I had not gotten to ask her about so I asked the front desk if I could see her again quickly. The front desk people told me she could not speak to me because she did not need to see me and "had patients to see" Of course, I was a patient who had waited months for the appointment, but the front desk people were rude when I asked to speak to my doctor again and tried to refuse me. They even asked me what my question was so they could relay the message to the doctor... which is an obvious violation of hippa to ask me to revel my personal health information in the public waiting area. I will say that the doctor herself was nice and even accommodated my sensory issues with care. However I was a tad offended when she waived her hand over my body whilst saying that lifestyle changes to diet and exercise would help me. The hand gesture was unnecessary... but its the rudeness of the front staff, the rushing, and the hippa violation that will mean I never return to this location. Ps. The technician also got ultrasound goo all over my clothes that were hanging on a hanger and now I have a visible gooy patch on my dress for the rest of the day.E

Dr. Ahluwalia and the entire staff irl was fantastic during my GYN appt (probably one of the most positive dr experiences i’ve ever had, rly felt listened to, knowledgeable abt…Dr. Ahluwalia and the entire staff irl was fantastic during my GYN appt (probably one of the most positive dr experiences i’ve ever had, rly felt listened to, knowledgeable abt pcos/ureaplasma, answered my q’s patiently, not rushed) + i love that there’s a portal where you can view your test results directly asap, but the reception call center was incredibly frustrating to deal with when it came to actually getting someone on the phone to review my results and prescribe me with treatment. would so love if there was a more organized way to schedule follow-up test result “reviews” online to avoid having to play so much annoying phone tag with different people. or better yet, just have the dr/office staff send a digital portal message notifying patients of any abnormal results + detailing next steps so we can begin treatment asap, instead of leaving us in weird limbo till we’re finally able to corral someone on the phone. also was almost prescribed the wrong antibiotic when I did actually get to talk to someone (not dr. ahluwalia) bc no one had added my shared prior health records detailing a recent vaginal swab w resistance genes detected + an unsuccessful round of the same antibiotic just a few weeks ago. glad i did some research myself during all the time i spent on hold or else i wouldn’t have known to speak up + would’ve just gotten the same incorrect treatment again. the person “going over” my results with me on the phone was clearly looking at them for the first time/had never seen my patient history before. also, the healthcare industry needs to do a better job treating + educating patients abt mycoplasma/ureaplasma in general. bc the possibility of antibiotic-resistant strains, being asymptomatic, or a future test of cure weren’t mentioned until i specifically asked. and partner treatment/potential re-infection wasn’t discussed at all, even though it’s clearly a sexually transmitted bacteria. like i said though, my irl experience with dr. ahluwalia was all positive + the rest of the ultrasound/nurse staff i interacted with were v caring and professional. and i have yet to find an obgyn office in nyc that’s any better tbh - other than the fort greene free sexual health clinic. those ladies are incredible.R
