I waited for 45 minutes in the waiting area and almost an hour in the room to be seeing. Doctor is wonderful but the staff and the general atmosphere is extremely poor and unprofessional.

I have been called for two days back to back trying to make an appointment before my hysterectomy, after went through AI that screened my call, then long wait and finally got to talk to someone, but she refused to give me the appointment and run me around. She demanded me to give the reason why I want to see the doctor and told me they would like to know the detail/ reason before make me the appointment. Said who??? i told her I want to discuss more with her and get some paperwork for my work. First day she managed to tell me to call my insurance for paperwork to give to my work. I told her that’s not it, the insurance is authorized the procedure and payments. Honestly I almost ask who trained you how to do your job but I calm myself down instead. This is major surgery and i need to be sure about it. Then she managed to turn around and said you already have Telehealth for pre-op the day before the surgery. I said that’s not going to work for me, it’s not enough time for my work and to discuss what I want to discuss being the day before surgery, which honestly I don’t know for sure if I should have surgery. Then she managed to send me to the nurse which I had to wait forever for just to be told that the nurse is not available to talk and I had to left the message on her voicemail in order for her to call me back. Oh I did that the first time I called with scheduling lady and no one ever call. That when I had enough and told her all I need is an appointment to see the doctor, I did not ask to speak with the nurse neither feel comfortable to discuss with you. I don’t ask for free service, my insurance is pay for the visit so I need the appointment set up now because I also have job to do, I can’t waste my time holding on the phone and answering questions that I don’t want to talk to anyone but doctor. She paused for a while and said her schedule is not open and then proceeded to gave me the appointment almost a month later, which is fine with me. I just have a hard time understanding why I’m obligated to tell all my business or the reasons I want to see the doctor in order to get an appointment set. This is ridiculous, at this point I almost feel like I need to find second opinion and new doctor. Again, nothing wrong with Dr. Lawrence, the front desk staff are the problem and I’m not sure if I want to deal with it anymore.It wouldn’t be me if i didn’t leave a review on CWHC! He listen, he does not rush you, he gives the best advice and he shows you how much he cares about you. When i use to feel sad i would literally loon forward to my doctors appointments because i always left feeling happy and not sad anymore. His entire time is amazing even his nurse! They are always answering the phones and returning calls, i’ve never had to wait days to head back from them when i had questions and concerns. They were always there for me. My delivery was the absolute best. I will always go see Dr Ward no matter what! I previously had Hyperemesis and they prescribed me medication that I need to be able to function. I told them I had miscarried before and was worried. After getting bloodwork back, I wanted a follow up to make sure things were progressing. The follow up lab showed a decrease in progesterone, which concerned me but the nurse said they weren’t concerned and would not do more labs or offer progesterone supplements. I insisted on follow up labs again and was coldly told by the nurse to call the front desk. Then, I came in for my first ultrasound with my partner. A good 15 minutes was spent going over financial responsibilities - that would be fine except my actual time with the doctor was less than 10 minutes. I waited longer than I was actually seen by anyone. My ultrasound was transvaginal - three people entered the room. One of whom I didn’t know and was not introduced to. The doctor casually stood at my feet and slightly moved the wand around and said “there’s your baby” and let us hear the heartbeat for SIX seconds. Told us it was earlier than they thought and shut the ultrasound off. The photos printed of my baby included one that was just my uterine wall. Not even the baby. My partner took a time stamped photo at 2:02 pm of me waiting, 2:12 pm still waiting, and 2:20 after the ultrasound. I was given no reassurance that my baby was okay. Nothing was explained. I wasn’t told what they were looking for or whether there was any cause for concern with the dating showing me being over a week behind what my LMP determined me to be. Just told to leave and come back. Very clinical and cold. Whatever, I called and cancelled everything further and found a new clinic. Today, I get a notification that all of my prescriptions have been cancelled. Medication I need literally to function everyday through hyperemesis. I’ve had two kids before this and this was the worst OB experience I’ve ever had. I get that they see dozens of patients a day. But if your job is literally to care for expecting mothers, maybe show a little more care and bedside manner rather just treating us like medical specimens.Sprung a colposcopy on me. I told them I wish I could speak to the practitioner bc I’m unsure what this is for and that nothing had been explained. The lady at the front just looked at me so I signed. When in the patient room the nurse better explained to me why I was there and the procedure that was going to happen. I teared up on her. The nurse and practitioner handled me well but communication is a very important part of patient care. As someone who deals with anxiety having a procedure sprung on me scared me to my core. If I would have known I would have asked for something for anxiety before the procedure and better prepared myself for what to expect. I saw Mrs. Amber and she told me their urine pregnancy tests are 100% accurate and pretty much said my symptoms are probably not even related to pregnancy. I left there feeling terrible about even trying to make sure everything was okay or if I was pregnant, they gave me no solution. After getting my blood drawn for testing, I was told I would have the results the next morning. Nope, I had to call in the afternoon to make sure I got my results. While Dr. Johnson herself seems like a competent and kind physician, nearly every interaction I had with the rest of the clinic staff was frustrating, disorganized, and at times downright demeaning. After I was diagnosed with endometrial polyps on April 25, I expected to leave with a scheduled procedure—or at least a clear next step. Instead, I was told the billing department would call me “in a few days,” followed later by scheduling. That never happened. They know my mother has a history of endometrial cancer, so I don't care how low the odds of the polyps being cancerous were; I wanted them out of me. Days passed. My husband called daily trying to get updates, and no one ever followed up. We had to physically show up at the office on May 2 just to get a surgery date—and still, no time was given. My husband has a good job with health insurance and they still wanted payment in advance before scheduling my polyp removal. We only found out the time much later, and only after my primary care physician had to text them directly on my behalf to get a response. That’s not normal. When the office finally did leave a voicemail, it was at 11:37 AM, asking me to call back by noon. That gave me less than 30 minutes to respond—during my usual nap, which I need because of a neuromuscular condition they are fully aware of. The office staff reprimanded me twice for not having my phone on—even though they know I have medical naps, attend other appointments where phones must be off, and can’t always respond immediately. They could have just left the appointment time on my voicemail; otherwise, why did I fill out HIPAA acknowledgments? Waiting nearly two months for a procedure while continuing to bleed (and suffer stress-induced migraines) was already hard enough. But the lack of communication (combined with the hypocritical pressure to be instantly reachable) along with the repeated breakdowns in basic follow-through made it emotionally exhausting. I felt like they wanted me to know that I didn’t matter or like I was being punished for being sick. Dr. Johnson may mean well, but the office staff have driven me away. I won’t be coming back, and I can’t recommend this clinic to anyone who values clear communication or compassionate care.Literally the best staff ever. Hands down. I felt that way but even worse when it came to having my baby. Things weren't going smoothly/as planned and Dr. Lawerence said these things to me during my time at the hospital while I was trying to have my baby: I don't want to deliver at night, I'm not on call this week, and she let me know she lost sleep from being notified with updates from hospital staff regarding my condition the night I developed an infection (that of course kept me up all night with fever, uncontrollable shakes, high heart rate and fear for my baby's well being.) Several things were said by my doctor that hurt me. One of those things was that my uterus was pitiful absolutely pitiful. I was exhausted, scared, and was in a lot of pain/feeling very vulnerable. The experience was hard enough on me as it was and that made it much worse. In the end I have my precious baby here with me safe and I'm beyond grateful for that. I just wish I would have been shown a little more grace during childbirth. The experience has been and still is hard on me emotionally. After 50 minutes, the office staff asked me my name again and told me that they would be calling me back shortly. There is an obvious issue with patient management, and the least that could be done is to notify patients that the doctor is no longer available for their time slot so they don't sit there for an hour. I waited another 10 minutes or so in the patient room after they called me back (not too bad) and then saw the doctor for about 10-15 minutes. I was told a major surgery was recommended, but was given no details on the risks, benefits, or even firm answers as to whether the discomfort I was feeling was due to the condition I was there for. Other than an ultrasound, Dr. Johnson didn't run any other tests or refer to other tests that I had sent to the clinic to explain the treatment plan. I also wasn't presented with any other treatment options or reasons why other treatment options weren't available other than major surgery. In fact, I don't really understand the treatment plan at all. All and all, I felt like the Dr. Johnson was very rushed and dismissive, probably because she was over an hour behind. I am seeing Dr. Lawrence and Heather White in particular and cannot say enough good things about the two of them and the center in general! I am so beyond satisfied with the care I have received and feel so comfortable placing my trust in them for my second and last baby. During my first pregnancy I used a doctor in North Little Rock that came highly recommended and while he was a good doctor, his bedside manner was very curt and short. I felt like a number being pushed through as quickly as possible and that my pregnancy was inconvenient (I was due a week or two before Christmas). I did not come away feeling mistreated but I did feel unheard and like me, my birth, and my son were not important. Things did not go the way I had wanted them to and I felt very coerced into induction so things would happen on his schedule. I do not get these types of feelings at Conway Women's Center and can't wait for the rest of the pregnancy and the baby to arrive!

I first scheduled with her back in May of 2017. She helped me get pregnant with my 2nd child, but due to billing issues and her front office staff being rude I changed Clinics for my pregnancy. Later in May of 2020 my husband and I decided to add another member to our growing family. I came back to Dr. Lawrence to help me once again. During this time around her staff had change a little bit. There was a few new faces and this seem good. After a few months of trying to conceive Dr. Lawrence was able to help me get pregnant again. She was very knowledgeable and straight forward, but I felt like she rushed trough her appointments. Well at least mine. My appointments were very short and at first it did not bother me. One day we had a conversation where she explained that she would like to see me stay through with this new pregnancy since she had notice I left last time. I gave the clinic a chance and I told her I would stay for this new pregnancy. At first everything was ok. Not perfect, but ok. I began having all source of health complications with my pregnancy that I never had before. This required me to have more early visits, test, and different doctor referrals. I want to give Dr. Lawrence credit for being on top my baby’s health and mine for the first trimester but at 32 weeks I decided to leave this clinic once again because I no longer felt comfortable. In some occasions I was given the run-around by her on some of the new symptoms I was experiencing . She tried to find solutions for me, but almost out of annoyance. I always heard the words “it’s a new pregnancy”, “it’s your 3rd baby”. “Pregnancy's are different” and so on. During my early pregnancy I ended at the ER twice due to my Migraines. Every ER follow up appointment after Dr. Lawrence did not seem to know all the details or was unaware I had been to the ER so I had to explain myself quite often. Further along in my pregnancy I had to go to Labor and Delivery due to contractions. At my follow up appointment she seem unaware again of some important details which made me really disappointed. After this visit I never really had peace of mind anymore. My baby could have been premature due to preterm contractions if I had not listen to my body. One of the annoying things later on was the fact that I was still being rushed out during my appointments. Sometimes I was unable to express all my concerns at the visits because she would cut my conversations short or she would tell me that my symptoms were just part of the pregnancy. This made me feel as if I didn’t know my own body. Despite the doctor referrals she gave me, I notice that she did not really follow up on the notes that were sent to her by the other specialists. She did not give much importance to any of the findings. I found this unprofessional and In conclusion I ended up losing trust in Dr. Lawrence. After all I am the only one to decide what is normal or not normal about my body. So I got help through other resources. On the other hand, I enjoyed seen Heather White in a few occasions, she treated me well and made me feel comfortable. Another particular person was the check out girl whose name I forgot, but she was always sweet and charismatic. Also my nurse Christen tried her hardest to answer every question and concern I had over the phone. Outside of these three people no one else appeared friendly or seemed like they enjoyed their job at this clinic.PHENOMENAL SERVICE!
